Tourico Holidays Enhances Vacation Home Rental Offerings in Key U.S. Destinations
Leading Travel Wholesaler Increases U.S. Vacation Home Rental Inventory for Ski, Beach and City Travel
ORLANDO, Fla. – January 21, 2015 – Tourico Holidays, a global leader in wholesale travel brokerage, today announced that it has increased its ‘book by the door’ inventory of vacation homes in key ski, beach and city destinations – providing travel agents with access to the widest selection of elite vacation home properties in the U.S.
Tourico ushered in the ‘book by the door’ vacation home offering in March of 2014, providing resellers with full transparency during the booking process – including real-time pricing and availability. Travel agents can now search and book thousands of new vacation rentals in destinations across the United States – including Lake Tahoe, Orlando, New York City and South Beach – enabling their travelers to experience penthouse living in Manhattan or beach-side relaxation in Florida.
“Travel Agents can now sell villas, cottages, condominiums and chalets at unbeatable prices, and with a margin of up to 20 percent,” said Steve Caron, Vice President of Vacation Rentals for Tourico Holidays. “It’s really a win-win. Travelers stay at a personalized home at prices as low as $38 per night, and agents have another convenient, marketable product at their fingertips.”
The vacation home rental industry is currently estimated at $87 billion and is rapidly growing as leisure travelers look for more unique experiences and better value for their travel dollar. As a leader in the industry, Tourico Holidays plans to add another 10,000 units in the United States alone within the next month.
“With the largest inventory of vacation rental homes in the United States, agents can now offer their customers a more unique – and often more affordable – alternative to a hotel,” said Steve. “By increasing our domestic inventory of ‘book by the door’ rentals, we’re providing travel agents an opportunity to provide greater satisfaction to their customers and sell a product with high margins.”

ORLANDO, Fla. – January 13, 2015 – Tourico Holidays, a global leader in travel wholesale brokerage, today announced that after a successful inaugural year, the 10-week, in-house Travel Academy will continue four times a year indefinitely. In its first year of operation, the Tourico Travel Academy graduated 82 qualified travel professionals, 75 of which were hired by Tourico and are currently still with the company – a 91% retention rate.
The Tourico Holidays Travel Academy, which launched in January 2014, provides recent college graduates with valuable travel industry knowledge, business negotiation skills, and travel technology experience. Accepted students also receive full benefits, a base pay of $500 per week during the 10-week course, housing, a meal plan, laptops, cell phones, transportation and entertainment in the Orlando area. Upon completion of the program, graduates have the opportunity to join the global travel wholesaler and be a part of a Billion dollar company that has offices throughout the world. Four upcoming sessions will be held in 2015.
“As a company that’s growing rapidly in markets around the world, we saw the need for a consistent channel of qualified people to drive our business forward,” said Uri Argov, Founder and CEO of Tourico Holidays. “After one year of the Academy being operational, the in-house program has directly resulted in the addition of 75 new professionals that will be driving Tourico Holidays forward for years to come.”
The first session of 2015 launches on January 19 and is focused on training students in the technology sector of professional services. For this session, recruiters sought out emerging professionals from computer sciences, management information systems, mathematics, computer engineering and programming disciplines. The following two sessions in April and July will train students on sales and product development. The final session’s scope and date are yet to be determined.
“The Academy provides an exceptional opportunity for college graduates looking to get a leg up in a fun, well paying industry,” Argov said. “You learn from travel executives, like myself, and upon graduation, the opportunities of where you work and what you do are endless.”
