The Position

The Cruise Sales Agent will be responsible for effectively using sales techniques and methods to motivate consumers booking travel arrangements. The primary skill set involves sales offerings to customers seeking cruise travel reservations.  The right candidate will respond to incoming phone calls and emails and will evaluate the consumer’s needs in order to maximize the selling of travel products and services. The right candidate will have in-depth knowledge of domestic and international travel destinations as well as an energetic disposition and the ability to close sales.

*Only candidates with real sales experience and knowledge of cruises, travel markets, destinations, hotels and attractions will be considered.

The right candidate will be:

  • A self-starter
  • Well versed in travel – previous cruise sales experience
  • Extensive knowledge of domestic and / or international destinations
  • Motivated by closing sales
  • Motivated by resolving customer issues and problems
  • Mentally sharp
  • Engaging and friendly; excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to educate consumers on products
  • Comfortable communicating via telephone
  • Some college coursework complete
  • Demonstrated sales and customer service skills
  • Able to work a flexible schedule
  • Previous travel industry experience
