Taking Graduates from Go-Getter to Jet-Setter, Tourico Holidays Launches New Travel Academy
The Tourico Holidays Travel Academy Welcomes Inaugural Class in January 2014
ORLANDO, Fla. – September 25, 2013 – Building its brand among the next generation of college graduates, Tourico Holidays today announced its new educational venture: the Tourico Holidays Travel Academy. This travel industry-focused development program offers an exclusive opportunity for ambitious, business-minded graduates to gain a competitive edge in a travel and tourism career.
Launching in January 2014, the Tourico Holidays Travel Academy accepts 30 applicants per 10-week session and runs 4 sessions per year. The program grows leaders in key areas taught by executives, experienced travel professionals, and highly-qualified guest professors in the classroom; but it also provides exposure to the glamorous side of the travel industry through jet-setting field trips, hands-on projects and applicable workshops. Interested students must apply online and go through an interview process for selection into the program.
Similar to various Fortune 500 leadership development programs, this intensive training thoroughly prepares students for a career with Tourico Holidays. From the start of the program, students receive full benefits, base pay, housing, meal plan, laptops, cell phones and transportation and entertainment in the Orlando area. Upon completion, graduates interview for positions in Product Development, Sales, Marketing and Operations. Successful students are placed in a position based on their skills, personality and fit for culture. Every fully qualified and successful student will receive a job offer to join the Tourico Holidays team.
“Second only to education, the travel and tourism industry is the largest supplier of jobs worldwide with 1 in 12 jobs being travel related,” notes Tourico Holidays Founder and CEO, Uri Argov, “Today’s sad reality is that 1 in 11 recent college graduates face unemployment. The Tourico Holidays Travel Academy bridges the gap and sets a precedent for Tourico Holidays and the Travel Industry. Not only does this program give graduates the tools and training they need to succeed within our company, it also ensures our partners are benefiting from highly trained representatives in every department.”
The new post-graduate academy is launching a full scale university partnership campaign to collaborate with professors and recruit students in business, economic and entrepreneurial majors. Anyone interested in promoting or participating in the program can visit the Academy’s website.
