Tourico Holidays today revealed encouraging numbers for the U.S. hotel industry. The travel wholesaler has seen an increase of 8 percent in overall hotel bookings for 2016, and an additional 6.5% increase during the first 18 weeks of this year (2017). The company has noted that regardless of previously perceived issues, such as travel bans and tighter immigration policies, the overall hotel traffic continues to grow. “Especially from key source markets like China, Canada, Brazil, and the UAE,” said Matias Elisavetsky, Executive Vice President of Global Product Development for Tourico Holidays. Additionally, in recent years Tourico Holidays has bolstered its U.S hotel inventory, specifically in California by 10 percent in 2016 and by a total of 52 percent since 2013.
